Taurus

Taurus - Vedic Astrology“Just living is not enough.
One must have sunshine, freedom,
and a little flower.”
—Hans Christian Andersen

Taurus is a creative and artistic sign. This is a fixed earth sign, which gives Taurus its stable, patient and enduring quality. People with strong and well placed planets in Taurus are often loyal and nurturing.

Devotion to the earth is associated with this sign. People with strongly placed planets in Taurus often have an interest in landscaping, growing flowers and caring for the environment.

This sign can produce excellent cooks, who know how to make use of the earth's bounty. There is an attraction to material elegance, comfort and refinement. In Taurus we will also find people who are good at commerce and trade.

The symbol for Taurus is the bull, representing creative energy, growth and fertility. As illustrated by the expression "bull headed," there is also an inclination towards stubbornness and possessiveness. In this earth sign, Venus' energy can be focused on material and sensual enjoyment. Just like the classic cartoon character Ferdinand the Bull, in Taurus we want to take in the green grass, the budding trees and the beautiful flowers.
