Moon Mala - Rudraksha Beads with White Pearl Counter Beads

This Moon mala has rudraksha beads that are hand knotted with larger pearl counter beads and gold filled accents. The Guru bead drop is a freshwater pearl and the mala has a white tassel.

This is the standard 108 bead mala composed of 9 sets of 11 beads and then the counter bead. Malas are used to count prayers, japa - repetition of Holy names and mantras, and to keep track of breathing exercises in meditation.

The mala is 36" long and has a 2" white tassel. The weight of the mala is 1 ounce.

Pearl is the primary gemstone used to influence the planetary energy of the Moon.

Rudraksha beads have a long history of use for sacred malas in several religions. Rudraksha is a Sanskrit word associated with one of Shiva's names, Rudra.
