Jupiter Mala - Rudraksha Beads with Citrine 1/2 Mala on Sterling Silver Wire

This Jupiter 1/2 mala has rudraksha beads with citrine counter beads. The beads are wrapped with sterling silver wire. The mala is 25" long which allows it to easily go over the head.  It weighs about .5 ounces.

We use a thicker sterling silver wire for this mala so it will hold up for a lifetime. A half mala on silver wire is very flexible and easy to slip over the head or put in a pocket.

There are 4 sets of 11 beads with a large citrine counter bead. One of the larger faceted citrine counter beads drops down as a Guru bead. This makes it is easy to keep track when the Mala is used to count in groups of 12 or a full 48. Malas are often used to keep track of breathing exercises in meditation. They are also used to count prayers, and japa which is the repetition of Holy names and mantras.

Another advantage of the 1/2 mala is that a pendant can be attached to the Guru bead or used in place of it. Let us know if you would like your 1/2 mala made so that you can attach a pendant.

Citrine is a gemstone used to influence the planetary energy of Jupiter or Guru in Sanskrit.

Rudraksha beads have a long history of use for sacred malas in several religions. Rudraksha is a Sanskrit word associated with one of Shiva's names, Rudra.
