This Moon mala has pearl beads that are hand knotted with larger pearl counter beads and sterling silver accents. The Guru bead drop is a large pear shaped freshwater pearl and it has a white tassel.
This is the standard 108 bead mala composed of 9 sets of 11 beads and then the counter bead. Malas are used to count prayers, japa - repetition of Holy names and mantras, and to keep track of breathing exercises in meditation.
