Jupiter has been in Scorpio since October 2018 and moves into Sagittarius on November 4th, 2019. The world is experiencing major challenges at this time and Jupiter’s transit in his own sign is very important for us all.
Jupiter’s energy expands our consciousness. On a material level he can bring wealth and power, on a spiritual level he is the Guru that guides us on our journey towards enlightenment.
Jupiter loves to learn, and he aims for high knowledge. In Vedic astrology, his own signSagittarius is represented by a bow and an arrow. In the greek mythology, Sagittarius is portrayed by a centaur, half horse and half man, who is shooting an arrow towards the stars. The stars express his wish to align with universal laws and dharma.
Sagittarius enjoys sharing knowledge and ideals. This dynamic fire sign is the ninth sign and has similarities with the ninth house. Both Sagittarius and the ninth house are concerned with knowledge and dharma.
However, all signs have some negative expressions and this is also true of Sagittarius. When the energy of Jupiter is focused on lower egoic desires, the result can be overinflation and arrogance. Dharma can turn into adharma.
Jupiter’s one year transit in Sagittarius gives us an opportunity to understand our dharma, and “to shoot the arrow” in the right direction. Our desires for true guidance and wisdom are strong at this time. We want clarity now, before Jupiter moves into the ambitious sign of Capricorn, where he will be dominated by Saturn. Jupiter moves to Capricorn in November 2020.
Saturn came into Sagittarius in January 2017. Saturn’s transits through the different signs tend to put obstruction and limitation on areas related to the sign he is transiting. Even though this period has manifested financial gains, Saturn’s transit in Sagittarius has also resulted in a contraction of consciousness, and a diminishing sense of dharma.
Ketu’s and Pluto’s presence in Sagittarius, are also influencing the energy in Sagittarius. The hidden power of Pluto, combined with Saturn’s power to obstruct, indicate the secret interference and manipulation of our values.
Jupiter’s transit in Sagittarius may manifest some positive solutions in a troubled world, but the road to healing the division and unrest is very long. Jupiter will be in the company of malefic planets: Saturn, Ketu and Pluto. Saturn will leave Sagittarius when he transits into Capricorn on January 23rd, 2020. Jupiter will also visit Capricorn in the spring but returns to Sagittarius after three months.
As individuals, no matter what our signs are, we can all benefit from a strong Jupiter. This is an excellent time for strengthening spiritual life and for being receptive to inner guidance. Make the effort now!
The energy of Jupiter is unstable when Jupiter moves through the turbulent waters at the very end of Scorpio October 31st - November 4th.
There is a gradual transformation of Jupiter’s energy when he first enters the fire sign Sagittarius November 4 - 8th.
On December 26th there will be a Solar eclipse. It takes place in Sagittarius and seven planets are in Sagittarius at this time. (More about the eclipse next month).
Jupiter moves quite fast through Sagittarius and visits the sign of Capricorn between March 29th and June 29th.
Jupiter moves retrograde from Capricorn and will return to Sagittarius on June 29th. He is retrograde between May 13th and September 12th, 2020.
He moves direct from September 12th, and he leaves Sagittarius and moves into Capricorn on November 20th, 2020.
Enjoy the blessings of Jupiter in Sagittarius!
Blessings,
Lina
November 2024 is, not unexpectedly, a very intense month. We will see that Mars in Cancer is a major contributor to the drama.
