The energies from the malefic planets are difficult this month. Mars/Rahu and Saturn/Ketu are strongly influencing one another and their energies are incompatible. A benefic Venus in the sign of Taurus offers relief.
Mercury is transiting the sign of Gemini between June 1st - June 21st. Even though Mercury is travelling through his own sign he is not comfortable now. He is extremely agitated because he joins the fiery planet Mars and a volatile Rahu. Mercury is a sensitive planet and is easily influenced by his surroundings. On June 15th the Sun also moves into Gemini. The planets in Gemini are opposed by the close Ketu/Saturn conjunction in Sagittarius.
Mercury, the planet who governs trade and communication, is closely involved in the planetary war between Mars/Rahu opposite Saturn/Ketu. The trade war taking place between the United States and China, and possibly Mexico, is effecting an entire world. There are also conflicts involving the advanced use of computer technology. Social media is currently under some pressure. We can clearly see the impact of a Mercury under stress.
The challenging planetary combination will reach its peak on June 14th with Mars/ Rahu conjunction at 24 degrees Gemini opposed by Saturn/Ketu conjunction at 24 degrees Sagittarius. Mercury will travel on the same degree as Rahu on June 16th and on the same degree as Mars on the 17th. The energy is volatile, turbulent and potentially violent. The time between June 10th and June 20th is challenging. The full Moon takes place on June 17th in Sagittarius. The close conjunction between Saturn and Ketu indicates karmic situations and a deep change.
Relief comes from Venus shining brightly in Taurus almost the entire month. Venus rules this sign and is not involved in the difficult planetary configuration.
Furthermore, Venus receives an aspect from Jupiter in Scorpio. These two benefic planets are not involved with the challenges of the malefic planets and will guide us from the sidelines. Venus and Jupiter can both offer guidance but the two planets have different agendas. Venus guides us through upliftment, creativity and joy, Jupiter guides us through his wisdom and knowledge.
Mars leaves Gemini and moves into Cancer on June 23rd. Mars is debilitated in Cancer but will no longer be involved in the challenging planetary combination. Mars will instead be receiving a favorable aspect from Jupiter.
How the planets will influence us as individuals this month depends on the personal chart. Which houses in your chart are governed by Gemini and Sagittarius? These houses reveal areas that you are working on now. Your planetary period also matters.
The Mercury ruled signs Gemini and Virgo feel the agitation. The signs ruled by Saturn and Mars will experience stress as well. These signs are Capricorn, Aquarius, Aries and Scorpio. However, Scorpio has protection of Jupiter transiting Scorpio.
During this time it is important to watch how you communicate, to avoid arguments, and to be mindful if you need to travel.
