April is by far the busiest month astrologically this year, with many important shifts taking place.
Because there is so much happening, I have decided to break the Astrological Highlights for April into more than one blog post. Let’s start by taking a look at the first week of April.
Venus moved into Aquarius on March 30th, leaving us with the grim prospect of Mars, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn without the support of benefic planets.
Mars and Saturn are in a planetary war on April 4th and 5th. A planetary war occurs when two planets are within one degree of each other.
Mars conjunct Saturn is sometimes seen as a combination for war due to Saturn's ability to block and obstruct, while an aggravated Mars can be violent and explosive. Saturn in Capricorn governs infrastructure. Mars is at his exaltation point which also makes this a highly technical combination.
Another consideration is the presence of Pluto (a planet with deep and potentially destructive power) in Capricorn, the sign of infrastructure. Pluto also rules nuclear power, which has loomed as a potential threat throughout this war.
This does not mean that nuclear power will be used, but during this planetary war it is unlikely that there will be any successful peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
Be mindful during this first week in April.
On April 7th, Mars joins the benefic planets Jupiter and Venus in Aquarius. The energy of Mars will change because he will no longer be in the same sign as Saturn and will be with two benefic planets instead.
Mars is more aggressive with Saturn in Capricorn, but in Aquarius he is more focused on broader humanitarian concerns.
There are big shifts happening astrologically this month. We need to be prepared for change.
Blessings of light, love and peace,
Lina
November 2024 is, not unexpectedly, a very intense month. We will see that Mars in Cancer is a major contributor to the drama.
